What is Sports Therapy ?
A great preventative measure for active people, Sports Therapy treatments combat deep-stored tension & ease niggles. Sports Therapy can be utilised when injury occurs in order to rehabilitate and recover.
Tension patterns may occur from repetitive daily activities, (such as hip-carrying small children or computer use), or from repetitive movements associated with our work, as well as through playing regular sport, and from accident - thus making sports massage therapy relevant to everyone.
Treatments can also be called on for pre/post event and for on-going injury prevention (or 'MOT' work).
It will benefit the body to offer support during times of high physical demand, or for performance preparation, enhancement or recovery by receiving some regular sessions.
Kirsty is a Graduate Sports Therapist. A Graduate Therapist has completed a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Therapy at university, in order to understand the underlying cause of injury and dysfunction, which allows her to apply clinical reasoning to your treatments and treatment plan. Sports Therapy does not offer medical diagnosis and will always support sign-posting you to your GP or relevant health care services when appropriate.
