About Kirsty
Kirsty is a level 4 Sports Massage Therapist and a BSc (Hons)Graduate Sports Therapist, with post-graduate qualifications in Scar Work Therapy and specialist treatments for the head, face & Jaw (TMJ & Craniofacial).
She has been treating in Hove since 2005 helping people (not just the sporting population) to manage injury, pain and stress.
Treatments with Kirsty have a strong emphasis on clinical reasoning and stem from a sound understanding of functional anatomy. She has a grounded understanding of how injury can occur and applies this knowledge during evaluation, assessment, and treatment.
Previous experience includes working with athletes at the London 2012 Olympics at the Aquatics centre, working with Sussex-based rugby clubs and Event work across multiple sporting events around Sussex.
She is a top-level member of the Sports Massage Association and is active with training and development.
Teaching Experience include; Functional Anatomy Lecturer, and Massage Module Lead, at London Met University, Sports massage & anatomy Sessional Lecturer at Brighton Met college, Sports Massage tutor, & teacher of Anatomy & Physiology, with Sussex School of Natural Therapies the Wilbury School of Massage, and currently with Kelly Horne School of Massage.
